About me
After working in marketing for over six
years I made the decision to take a different professional path. I have always had an active interest in
drama and the arts and wanted to pursue a career in which the creative arts could
be used to make a difference in people’s lives.
As a first step I studied for a BA (Hons) degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education at the Central School of Speech and Drama. During this four-year course I learnt more about the therapeutic benefits of drama and this inspired me to further my understanding and education in this area. Subsequently, I went on to study for an MA in Drama and Movement Therapy, specialising in the Sesame approach, also at the Central School of Speech and Drama.
I am now a qualified Drama and Movement Therapist based in North London. I am registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and am also a member of the British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth) and the Sesame Institute. As such, I follow the Code of Practice for each organisation (you can find more information about these organisations on the Links page)
